Want to be restored? Sign up for Hay Esperanza!

Welcome to Canaan USA

God has brought you to this little piece of the Body of Christ that exists for restoration. You have come into a community made up of individuals and families who were once broken and without hope, but were rescued and given new life. We join in the invitation that God Himself is extending to you, we welcome you into our family and into this wonderful adventure called Restoration.

We believe that God is sovereign and therefore it was He who joined your path with ours. We pray that all His purposes will be fulfilled and that you and your family may become part of the mighty army that rises from the valley of dry bones. (Ezekiel 37)

Our Vision

We are an Interdenominational church, a refuge where the suffering find comfort and hope.

The Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, in their original texts, are inspired in their entirety by the Holy Spirit, without error.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to mankind and become our Savior. We believe in His virginal conception, His sinless life, the authenticity of His miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His mediatorial work in heaven, and in the hope of His personal return in power and glory.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. He gives life, He sanctifies, He empowers, He convicts of sin, He indwells believers, and He comforts.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God for intimacy with Him. Tempted by Satan, man fell and consequently brought the entire human race into a state of separation from God, unable to reestablish his relationship with God through his own efforts.
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only means for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, God offers free salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
The Church
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ of which Jesus is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted, by faith, in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.
We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a covenant before God between one man and one woman. Marriage is the central core of the family.

We love the sinner without condoning sin.

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

We live without secrets.

James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. 1 John 1:5 God is light, and in Him there is no darkness.

We are congruent between what we teach and what we live.

1 Timothy 5:8 For if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

We use our story to inspire others.

Revelation 19:10b The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

We can understand the anguish of those who suffer because we have been there.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

We walk and build a future together. We develop relationships that go beyond time, institutions and distances.

Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

We are free to be who God designed us to be. Unity in the midst of diversity.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

We admire, value and treat each person with the same dignity we all deserve.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or conceit, but in humility let each of you regard the other as more important than himself.

We accompany others in their decision to reconcile with God, with themselves and with the people who mean the most to them. We collaborate in the rebuilding of broken bridges and devastated cities. We are menders of the breach.

2 Corinthians 5:19 That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
