Canaan Church
Founder of Canaan Church and the There is Hope restoration program.
God has brought you to this little piece of the Body of Christ that exists by and for restoration. You have come to a community made up of individuals and families who were once broken and without hope, but we were rescued and given a new life. We join in the invitation that God Himself is making to you, and we welcome you to our family and this wonderful adventure called Restoration.
We believe that God is sovereign and therefore it was He who united your path with ours. We pray that all His purposes are fulfilled and that you and your family can become part of the mighty army that rises from the valley of dry bones. (Ezekiel 37)

Discover some of our fundamental principles as a congregation.
We believe there is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity, the Son of God, who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and become our Savior. We believe in His virgin conception, sinless life, authentic miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, mediating work in heaven, and the hope of His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. He gives life, sanctifies, empowers, convicts of sin, dwells in believers, and comforts.
We believe the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are entirely inspired by the Holy Spirit in their original texts and therefore contain no error.
We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only means for the forgiveness of sins. God offers free salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
We believe the church is the Body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. Its members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.
We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a covenant before God between a man and a woman. Marriage is the central core of the family.
We believe humanity was created in the image and likeness of God to have intimacy with Him. Tempted by Satan, humanity fell and led the entire human race into separation from God, unable to restore that relationship through human effort.
We love the sinner without condoning the sin.
1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
We live without secrets.
James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. 1 John 1:5 God is light; in Him there is no darkness.
We are consistent between what we teach and how we live.
1 Timothy 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, especially their own household, has denied the faith.
We use our story to inspire others.
Revelation 19:10b The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
We understand the distress of those who suffer because we have been there.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble.
We walk and build a future together. We develop relationships that go beyond time, institutions, and distance.
Galatians 6:10 Let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
We are free to be who God designed us to be. Unity in the midst of diversity.
Galatians 5:1 Stand firm in the freedom Christ has given us.
We admire, value, and treat each person with the same dignity we all deserve.
Philippians 2:3 In humility, value others above yourselves.
We accompany others as they choose to reconcile with God, themselves, and the people who matter most. We help rebuild broken bridges and devastated cities. We are repairers of breaches.
2 Corinthians 5:19 God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ and entrusted us with the message of reconciliation.

In memoriam
“I want to be remembered as that adulterous, corrupt pastor who destroyed his life, but whom God forgave, gave a second chance, and who knew how to take advantage of it.”
