Canaan Church respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use our website and our mobile app.
We collect personal information when you create an account, update your profile, or register for an event. Depending on what you choose to fill in, your profile may include:
If you install the mobile app and allow notifications, we store an installation identifier, the notification token issued by Expo, your device platform, and your language. That record is what lets us send each notice in your own language and stop sending them once you uninstall the app.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
We use your information only to run the church and its digital services:
Your account and password are managed with Supabase, which hosts the church's authentication and database. We never see your password: it is stored encrypted and only you can reset it from your email.
You can review and correct your personal data from your account at any time.
Donations are processed outside our systems, through Pushpay, Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, check, or bank transfer. Paid events use Stripe Checkout.
We never store full card numbers. For each paid registration we keep only the amount, the currency, and the references Stripe issues so we can confirm your spot.
The photos, audio, and video we publish are stored on DigitalOcean Spaces. If our team uploads a photo of you, you can ask us to take it down.

We keep your information while your account is active or while it is needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and its associated data.
You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. We will respond within a reasonable period and at no cost.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information without a parent's or guardian's consent. Data about children that a member records in their family details is provided by that parent or guardian.
If you believe a child gave us information without permission, write to us and we will delete it.
Your information may be processed or stored on servers located in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
We may update this policy occasionally. When we make significant changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
